Kristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about providing compassionate, collaborative care to children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, ADHD, autism, behavioral concerns, and family conflict.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Post University.
Her clinical experience includes community mental health and intensive in-home therapy, where she has worked closely with clients, families, schools, and other providers to foster meaningful and lasting change.
She has a special passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and utilizes a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach that recognizes each person's unique abilities while helping them develop practical skills to navigate daily life successfully.
She believes that therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's needs. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness practices, and family systems principles. She works alongside clients to build resilience, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal goals.
Her goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen their coping skills, and move toward greater emotional well-being and confidence.
