Helping kids build these skills takes time—but small, consistent steps make a big impact!

🔹 1. Use Visual Schedules Kids thrive with structure. A simple chart or checklist can keep them on track and reduce overwhelm.

🔹 2. Break Tasks Into Small Steps Big tasks = big distractions. Break homework or chores into bite-sized pieces for better focus.

🔹 3. Set Clear, Short Time Limits Try a timer for 10–15 minute “focus sprints” with breaks in between to build stamina.

🔹 4. Limit Distractions Create a quiet, tidy workspace. Turn off TVs, silence notifications, and reduce background noise.

🔹 5. Use Positive Reinforcement Praise effort, not just results! “I noticed how hard you worked to stay on task—great job!”

🔹 6. Build in Movement Breaks Kids often focus better after physical activity. Try 5-minute wiggle breaks between tasks.

🔹 7. Create a Homework Routine Same time, same place each day builds predictability and focus.

🔹 8. Use Organizational Tools Color-coded folders, planners, and sticky notes help keep things in order (and reduce lost assignments!).

💡 Every child is different—trial and error is okay. What matters most is consistency, patience, and support.
