As summer ends, many kids (and parents) feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. New classrooms, unfamiliar routines, social pressures—it can all feel overwhelming.

💡 Here’s how to help ease the transition:

✅ Validate their feelings: “It’s okay to feel nervous.”

✅ Start routines early: Sleep, meals, and screen time.

✅ Do a school walkthrough (if possible).

✅ Teach simple coping skills: deep breathing, calming mantras, or a “worry box.”

✅ Stay calm—your confidence helps them feel safe.

📚 And remember: If anxiety lingers for weeks or disrupts daily life, it might be time to talk to a school counselor or therapist. You’re not alone in this—and neither are they. 💛 Call (860) 483-0360 to schedule an appointment with a licensed therapist.
